Asus EeePad Transformer TF101 10.1 inch Tablet PC is ultra thin and light design in a unique, stylish pattern.

It’s super slim profile with 12.98mm of width makes it very light and it weighs only 680g.  It’s unique and stylish design makes it comfortable to hold from any position. The unique textured pattern offers a better tactile sensation, so it won’t feel as if it will slip out of your hands.

Docking station allows you to switch to PC mode with Qwerty keyboard instantly. Once the tablet is in docking station it transforms itself into a full fledge laptop and hence the name – “Asus Eee Pad Transformer”.

Asus Eee Pad’s docking station is the most striking feature of this tablet-laptop hybrid which makes it unique and gives an edge over it’s rival iPad 2.

This is not only just a simple docking station but it improves the battery life as well. With docking station you can have 16 hours of battery life.

The docking station has 2 USB ports one in left side and another one in the back side. It also has a SD card reader. the 40 pin connector connects the docking station to the PC for data sync.

The keyboard itself is a brilliant design, sleek and smooth.

Tablet to Notebook Transformation

Eee Pad is different from other tablets as it can transform itself to a notebook with an optional docking station. The optional docking station provides access to a full QWERTY keyboard along with unique Android Function keys by giving itself a full notebook status.

Docking station doesn’t only provide access tokeyboard and posrts but it also extends the Transformer’s 9.5 hours of battery life up to 16 hours.

Powerful mini-cinema Entertainment

Asus Eee Pad Transformer is Powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2 dual-core processor which allows browsing the web at faster speeds. This powerful processor also reduces the response time and gives better performance when multi-tasking.

With HDMI 1.3a port, the Eee Pad Transformer can connect to a HDTV and 5.1 surround sound system, delivering an enhanced multimedia experience.

Camera

Eee Pad has tow cameras one 5MP rear and one 1.2MP front-facing camera which can shoot and record HD video. The videos can be played back in stunning 1080p. You can also output HD video on HDTVs via a mini HDMI output port which makes it a true mobile entertainment device.

Sound

Eee Pad has a built-in SRS Sound technology which provides a true dynamic 3D stereo audio experience. The in-built discrete speakers offers  maximum bass response and a wide sound field.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer uses Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS with ASUS Waveshare UI. Google’s Android Honeycomb is a revolutionary operating system specially designed and optimized for tablets. It enables users a full web experience for on-the-go web browsing, communicating and casual computing.

What distinguishes Eee Pad Transformer from iPad 2 is the support of Adobe® Flash® 10.2. every iPad user knows the pain of missing flash in ipad tablets. Support of flash gives Eee Pad an edge over iPad 2.

Cloud Computing

Asus EE Pad Transformers supports cloud computing. MyLibrary allows you to  consolidate downloaded books, magazines and newspapers in to one easy step.

The MyCloud application is a total cloud solution, providing access to digital content such as music, videos and files from the cloud anywhere, anytime. Users can even use MyCloud to remotely access and control any PC or Mac system and access applications or files to extend the versatility of the Eee Pad Transformer experience.

While ASUS’ Waveshare Interface hosts a variety of unique applications such as MyNet, MyLibrary, MyCloud and more. MyNet easily streams digital media wirelessly within home network devices so HD videos or music can be played on devices such as an HDTV or desktop PCs for an even better experience from the Transformer.

Eee Pad Transformer is loaded with Polaris® Office® 3.0 which is a professional mobile office Solution. It enables users to edit office documents such as documents (.doc), spreadsheets (.xls) and presentation (.ppt) files which makes it suitable for professional use. The ultra-convenient ASUS WebStorage with one year of unlimited storage space provides worry-free cloud computing.
